  1. Work Hours      Monday through Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM with a half hour for lunch. This position may require extended weekday hours and occasional Saturday work.

 

  1. Minimum Job Requirements
    • Posses a valid New Jersey drivers license.
    • Technical school graduate.
    • Computer data entry skills.
    • Possess a type II or better refrigerant certification*
    • ISL Universal Self Study and Installation*

 

  1. Basic Job Function
    • Assisting the Lead Installer with the installation of residential hydronic, HVAC heating and cooling systems, zoning systems and other related installations.
    • Assisting in the installation of ductwork and duct systems.
    • Offer products and services that solve our customer's specific comfort needs.

 

  1. Reporting Relationships
    • Installation Assistants report directly to the Lead Installer and then to the Installation Manager.
    • No one reports directly to an Installation Assistant.
    • Installation Assistants have a functional relationship with the Warehouse / Inventory Controller, Sheet Metal Fabricator, Dispatcher and other installation teams.

 

  1. Specific Authority
    • Installation Assistants have the Authority to resolve customer service situations up to $50 with a detailed written explanation on their paperwork to their Lead Installer and to the Installation Manager. In most all situations the authority is passed on to the Lead Installer on the job.

 

  1. Responsibilities:
    • Provide and promote a positive and winning attitude at all times.
    • Always treat all customers and coworkers with dignity and respect.
    • Arrive at the warehouse on time and ready to begin work every day.
    • Be neatly groomed and fully dressed only in a clean approved company uniform.
    • Possess all the required tools to perform the job of an installer. (See company tool list).
    • Always use a Safety First approach to all work.
    • Always use the proper safety clothing, tools and precautions before beginning any work.
    • Keep the Dispatcher apprised of your location at all times.
    • Keep the Dispatcher apprised of your timetable for completion at all times.
    • Always following the direction of your Lead Installer.
    • Complete each and every installation thoroughly, efficiently and without need for a callback.
    • Discuss all replacement and or accessory options available to the customer.
    • Promote the KEILClub Maintenance Agreement program to all installation customers.
    • Meet or exceed all of the Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for the Installation department.
    • Participate in all company and installation training meetings.
    • Utilize the internet based technical training offered by the company.
    • Complete the ISL Certified Training Program for your department.

 

  1. Principal Duties
    • Loading the complete job into the installation truck to insure the installation team is ready to leave the warehouse on time each and every morning.
    • Insure that all specialized tools are checked out and on the installation truck ready to depart the warehouse on time each and every morning.
    • Prep the work area in the home by placing drop cloths from the point of entry into the home through to the last finished portion of the home leading to the equipment.
    • Unload all the materials and tools required to do the job to the location of the equipment in the home.
    • Upon approval and explanation from the Lead Installer begin to remove the existing equipment or in the case of a new installation begin to set in place the new system.
    • Organize all old scrap materials and waste neatly and logically on the installation truck so as not to clutter the homeowner's property.
    • Work with and learn from the Lead Installer on installing all types of systems.
    • Keep the work areas clean, neat and safe at all times.
    • At the conclusion of the installation return all tools, materials and scrap to the installation truck and store them properly. Clean all of the work areas so they are free and clear of all waste and debris associated with the installation
    • Insure that nothing you brought into the home has been left behind.
    • Maintain a clean and properly stocked installation truck at all times.
